Our Business Philosophy

Our main business philosophy is to layer our approach of selling software to three distinct layers:

1. The software.
Our software development department (SD) uses the latest technology advances and tools. The key element of the software is not just technology but design. It is designed to provide the maximum flexibility so as to provide an out-of-the-box solution to a large customer base, maximizing the value of our investment while maintaining the cost to the customer low.

2. The company’s vertical market expertise (Financial Accounting and Management Accounting).
The flexibility of our software is utilized at a first level by BIA’s own internal vertical market experts (Business Domain Expert (BDE)). This means that the software is configured and parameterized by BIA’s qualified accountants to provide the end result. The software allows the BDE to define procedures and business rules to be followed by the next layer.

3. The deliverable.
The end customer will receive a packaged solution consisting of both a sophisticated IT system and embedded customization in the form of Processes and Business Rules. Any additional customization required by the customer is performed on site by our BD department.

Our aim is to provide business-driven solutions rather than IT-driven solutions. The challenge for the IT contributors is to produce the software (FT) that will allow the setup and operation of the system to be Business Driven while the challenge for the Accounting contributors is to provide financially complete and accurate results through the appropriate parameterization of the system.

Although competitive software claims the same, BIA’s “template” philosophy ensures the accuracy of the results by providing structured guidelines to the user on each of the steps required to produce a complete and accurate financial report, while at the same time relieving the user from the headache of the complex calculations performed in the background by the system.
